Hailsham's green-fingered residents are excited to welcome

one of the BBC's favourite and longest-running radio programmes to the town.

Gardener's Question Time is coming to Hailsham eight years after

Hailsham Horticultural Society applied and the team from Radio 4 will be coming

to Hailsham Pavilion on Tuesday November 22nd.

The venue will allow Hailsham Horticultural Society to use

it for free and there are around 200 seats available at £2.50 each if you fancy

going along. Call Mr Henderson on 441120 or contact the Pavilion box office on

841414. Tickets will go on sale at the end of October

John Henderson, chairman of Hailsham Horticultural Society, was

delighted when he heard the news and said that everyone in the society was

amazed and enthusiastic about it.

The gardening experts answer questions live put to them by

members of the audience.

Hailsham Horticultural Society was first established in 1852

and has around 60 current members. The proceeds from the event will be split

between the society and the Hailsham Old Pavilion Society.

On the day the audience will be admitted at 5.30pm and the

recording will start at 6.30pm.

Oh, exciting, I must tell my mum, sure she'd be keen to join the audience.
