Hailsham Horticultural Society is holding its annual general meeting (AGM) and is opening its doors to new members who can enjoy a wide variety of social activities and swap advice and tips on aspects of gardening.

Hailsham Horticultural Society invites new members to its AGM
The meeting, which will be attended by around 60 regular members as well as others who want to find out more, will be held on Tuesday November 15th at The Charles Hunt Centre in Vicarage Field.
The Hailsham gardeners hold flower shows, vegetable growing competitions, social evenings and host regular guest speakers.
The evening next Tuesday will feature reports on activities and the groups' finances before everyone will enjoy refreshments and a fun party at the end of the year.
The Mayor of Hailsham, Cllr Jeff Bentley-Astor will be the guest of honour at the event. He is a keen gardener and involved in the 'In bloom' competition.
The Hailsham Horticultural Society is linked to the Royal Horticultural Society and the National Vegetable Society and the society is keen to attract new members.
Membership costs £8 a year but there is no charge for coming along next week, finding out more and having an interesting, fun evening.
