East Sussex County Council (ESCC) has confirmed that some schools in the Hailsham area will be closed on Wednesday 30th November, the day that the unions are planning a day of action over there concerns on public sector cuts and the changes to public sector pensions.

It looks like the majority of schools and other services in the Hailsham area will run as normal but two schools are confirmed as closing for industrial action on East Sussex County Council's website. They are Polegate School and Hailsham Community College.
