Sussex Police are appealing for information following three burglaries in Hailsham.

On 15 March properties in The Mount and Lansdowne Drive were the target of break-ins and a couple of days later on 17 March a property in Ersham Road was targeted.

In all three incidents the windows or doors at the rear of the properties were forced open and jewellery, cash and electrical items were stolen.

Detective Constable Dave Styles of East Sussex Priority Crime Team said: "All three properties are near to the Cuckoo walk and we believe the offender might have been using this as a way of accessing the houses.

"Police patrols have been increased along Cuckoo Walk and we would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously along the walk or anyone with information which may assist our investigation."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 748 of 15/3 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
