Police and council join together for town clean up

Members of the police and council workers joined together to
help clean up the town on March 9th.
Two tonnes of litter was cleared during Operation Quality
Streets and lots of graffiti was cleared up around the town.
Warning notices were attached to eight cars that were parked
illegally in Apex Way. Other work that was carried out were repairs to pot
holes, drain covers and kerbs and advice was given to businesses to ensure that
fire exits and pathways were kept clear and safe for the public.
The operation was deemed to be a major success and and it is
good to see various parts of our public services working together for the
benefit of the community,
