Members of the police and council workers joined together to

help clean up the town on March 9th.

Two tonnes of litter was cleared during Operation Quality

Streets and lots of graffiti was cleared up around the town.

Warning notices were attached to eight cars that were parked

illegally in Apex Way. Other work that was carried out were repairs to pot

holes, drain covers and kerbs and advice was given to businesses to ensure that

fire exits and pathways were kept clear and safe for the public.

The operation was deemed to be a major success and and it is

good to see various parts of our public services working together for the

benefit of the community,
