    Two pups died after being abandoned in Hailsham
    Two puppies that were found dumped in a shoebox in Bayham Road, Hailsham on August 25th have died and the incident has sparked an investigation by the RSPCA. The puppies were close to death when they were dumped and one was dead when they were discovered. The other puppy died soon afterwards.     In the early hours of this morning (Friday 24th June 2011) police were called to a property in Diplocks Way in Hailsham to investigate reports of a stabbing.     One of Hailsham's most experienced police officers is retiring after 45 years of public service with Sussex Police. Alan Davey is retiring at the age of 69 to spend more time with his family.
