The Council are pleading poverty as the reason they cannot keep Vicarage Field public toilets open or refurbish them according to the latest Council newsletter - but they can afford a civic reception and dinner at Michelham Priory as part of the twin town celebrations. What will visitors think if they need the loo?

After Parliaments council cuts have been anounced, are Wealden District Council still going to send their employees to Eastbourne to work for 18 months this year while they refurbish their Hailsham offices?

I couldn't be without a loo! That will put off local shoppers surely and encourage them to shop in the supermarkets where there are loos. Lots of people like to be near a loo...!

Lots of people HAVE to be near a loo, because of medical reasons. It is just another way that life is getting harder, the cuts are biting. A forum like this can be useful for us to get our thoughts across, and action can be planned.
