A purrfect afternoon of feline festivities is all set for

Hailsham this weekend as Eastbourne Cats Protection hosts its annual Spring

Fayre at their Adoption Centre in Marshfoot

Lane, Hailsham from 12pm to 3pm on May 14th.

Cats Protection merchandise, books, crafts, toys and

homemade cakes are some of the attractions on offer as the Cats Protection team

attempt to beat the amount they raised at the same event last year, which was

over £1,000.

Of course, visitors will also have the chance to see all of

the lovely cats that the team look after. Entrance is 50p or a tin of cat food.

All of the money raised at this event will go directly towards the creation of

a new maternity unit at the centre.

The event will be opened by Hailsham’s Mayor, Robin Kempe

and it will be his last official engagement.

Centre manager, Mandy Clarke is asking visitors to bring any

cat related products to donate. These can then be sold on to raise further

funds.
