    A new initiative to reduce the number of books and electrical goods ending up in landfill is to be launched in Hailsham on Monday. Healthy Planet and Age UK, will be taking in the items under the 'Books for Free' scheme at  their premises on St Mary's Walk.     It is Thursday and the Met Office has lifted its Level 3 weather warning for Hailsham and surrounding areas for today and tomorrow.     It is snowing in Hailsham, it is certainly cold enough and the sky looks ominous. The Met Office continues to issue to Level 3 warning for the region (and also check Hailsham People weather), and have advised people to take extra care of the roads and pavements.
