Why I like Hailsham

Hailsham is brilliantly situated with access to the coast, the airport, culture and shopping at Brighton & Lewes. wildlife at Pevensey levels and the beautiful countryside of the Weald and South Downs and the Cuckmere Valley. It has a wonderful cinema and theatre in the Pavilion which has been saved and run by volunteers and the Gallery North also run by volunteers. The Arts are alive in Hailsham!

Why I don't like Hailsham

The destruction of old characterful buildings is a crime. Too many ugly and dull modern housing estates and office buildings are robbing Hailsham of its market town character and Tescos has taken the life out of the High Street where all the shops are closing.
