Very nice old English restaurant complete with beams and real fires, this place is a treat in the winter. The Sunday roast here is really very good, and although it's pricier than some places you do get what you pay for. The starters are really nice, and unique; they set you up just right for the main which consists of some really divine, high quality meat and some impressive sides. The beef is cooked perfectly (for me at least), being pink in the middle and cooked on the outside, and just the right temperature. The veg is fresh and keeps all its flavour, which I often find is lost in restaurant roasts, and the Yorkshire puds are out of this world. I would give it a go if you haven't already - the food the rest of the week is extremely good too.
