Hailsham Town, AKA The Stringers, were recently lifted into 14th place in the Sussex County League (division one) giving hope to boss Kenny McCreadie that his side might continue on good form this season after a recent string of good results.

The team - who have scored 39 goals in the last 12 matches - were due to play Chichester City this weekend but this match has been understandably called off due to the dreadful weather experienced of late.

The club were beaten by Chichester City in September and McCreadie hopes that The Stringers can put that result behind them saying: We got a raw deal when we played them earlier in the season,” he said. “So hopefully we can account for that and beat them this time.”

The boss anticipates the return of Ben Putland (central defender), Sam Schaaf (striker), Jamie Salvidge (striker) and Mark Goodwin (midfield) saying “These are four experienced players that would get in any County League side, so I’ve got big decisions to make. The boys that are in there have done well, but they know it’s a squad game. “

The team are next due to play an away game against Eastbourne United on December 27th, kick off is 11am.
