Snow a possibility this weekend - are we equipped?

The Met Office have warned there is a moderate risk of severe weather on Saturday and that there is the potential for snow over much of the North and East of the UK, including East Sussex.

Beware - Ice and possibly snow is on its way
It is estimated that 1-5cm of snow could fall. So, should this early prediction turn out to be a reality, are we ready in Hailsham?
To help you in snow and ice, the government has published the Snow Code. Thankfully, it states that it's unlikely you'll be sued or held legally responsible for any injuries that occur on a path you've cleared carefully. Is it perhaps a sad reflection of our modern society that the likelihood of being sued is even mentioned?!
So, are we ready for snow like last year? What has Hailsham learnt from extreme conditions over the last year? Are the gritters lined up? Do we have ample salt? What would Hailsham people like to see done differently if we're in for a repeat performance this season?
